Job Description: Weld Shop Lead, Weekend Shift Huron, SD: Fri-Sun, 6am-6:30pm: What you'll do: Build critical structures: Fit, tack, and weld steel components for aerial devices and digger derricks using GMAW/FCAW processes, following approved weld procedures and engineering drawings. Own quality at the arc: Read and interpret blueprints and WPS, set up jigs/fixtures, prep and finish welds (grinding/chipping), and perform in‑process checks so work meets spec the first time. Work safely—every time: Follow Terex “Zero Harm” expectations, required PPE, hot‑work controls, and LOTO when applicable; keep work areas orderly and hazard‑free. Move materials confidently: Use overhead cranes and material‑handling equipment to stage, position, and transfer parts safely and efficiently Collaborate to improve: Partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and your team to solve problems, reduce rework/distortion, and support continuous improvement and 5S. Grow your skills: Participate in training (including weld school/skills development and, where applicable, robotic welding) to expand capabilities and progress through defined skill levels.
