As our Aquatic Lifeguard Coordinator, you’ll play a key leadership role in creating a safe, welcoming, and fun environment for every swimmer, member, and guest who walks onto the pool deck. Under the direction of the Senior Program Director – Aquatics, this position leads our lifeguard team, ensures top-tier safety standards, and helps keep daily aquatic operations running smoothly. What You’ll Do: Lead, schedule, and support lifeguards and aquatic staff (YASAs), ensuring strong coverage and high safety standards Monitor the pool deck and proactively address safety concerns, hazards, and risk areas Respond quickly and confidently to emergencies, following YMCA protocols and the “Safe-in-Six” model Provide coaching and accountability to ensure staff are meeting expectations and delivering excellent member service Step in as needed to cover lifeguard shifts, breaks, or programming gaps Oversee opening/closing procedures and ensure aquatic areas are secure when...
