Description This front-line position is responsible for unit morale, internal/external customer (resident/family) satisfaction, and quality of care. The AL Director is responsible for activities including: supervision of personnel, quality of resident care, and compliance of Federal, State, and local regulations in accordance with industry standards. 1. Administrative Duties: · Responsible for the general morale of all staff. Provides a quality work environment through teaming principles, effective team leadership, and a positive attitude. · Participates in the hiring process, discipline, development, and evaluation of personnel. Takes into consideration recommendations from the Charge Nurse. · Proactive in the development, maintenance, and updating of policies and procedures governing day-to-day nursing functions and Departmental services. · Responsible for the supervision of nursing personnel. Accountable for department productivity and the timely completion of delegated work assignments in accordance with acceptable nursing standards. · Develops and maintains a positive working rapport with inter-departmental and cross-functional personnel.
