Description The College of Literature, Science, and the Arts, and the Department of Middle East Studies at the University of Michigan, invite applications for a LEO Lecturer I in Arabic Language for the Winter 2025 Term. This appointment is scheduled to begin on January 5, 2025. Qualifications: Applicants should have Superior level proficiency in Standard Arabic, English, and at least one variety of spoken Arabic. Experience with teaching Arabic at the post-secondary level is required. Applicants must have a demonstrated understanding of and ability to use a proficiency-based, communicative methodology in language instruction. Minimum of a Master’s degree in foreign language teaching or equivalent field required. The selection criteria used for this search is based on how the applicant’s education and experience meets the required minimum qualifications for the position.
