Senior Build Engineer

Do you fancy working on the sort of ground-breaking product that lifts the bar for an entire industry? Smart Communications has done it before, we’re doing it again, and we’re looking for a talented, creative and motivated Build Engineer to help. Smart Communications use an automated pipeline to build, integrate, deploy and test software product changes and either deliver them to an internal release environment, or reject them and send back to the development team. The role of the Build Engineer is to maintain and improve this pipeline so that it works faster, more reliably, gives better and earlier feedback, and can be increasingly trusted to automatically look after delivering a high-quality product. Your job is to automate complex build processes, removing manual steps, improving consistency, reliability and agility, throughout the full engineering lifecycle, from feature development to deployment. This requires identifying improvements, researching and implementing innovative solutions using off-the-shelf tools and libraries plus custom code and scripts.
