Description JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Manager, Plant Operations, operates, repairs and maintains a high pressure (600psig+), high temperature (750 F Superheat), primary combined cycle, parallel co-generation thermal Power Plant with currently installed capacity of 2890 boiler horsepower, as required by the Boiler and Pressure Vessel Safety Act and Regulations to produce steam and primary power; including the operations of boilers, feed water pumps, turbines, power distribution centres and related auxiliary equipment which changes as Plant operating and site strategies evolve, and currently includes:600 psig Boilers150 psig Boilers1MW 4160 volt turbo-generators1000 psig feed water pumps(225 KW and 500 KW) diesel generators440V, 4160V and 12800V transformers and switchgear 1600KW stand-by generatorsProvides work direction to Assistant Shift Engineers by coordinating work activities, providing guidance/technical advice, training and orientation. QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEGrade 12 plus five years' recent related experience in a first class industrial plant.
