Overview About the Role: The primary purpose of the Distribution/Materials Handler position is to receive and verify all incoming mail, packages, supplies, and other items and ensure prompt and accurate delivery of said items from the mailroom and receiving areas to the appropriate departments and/or individuals within the University Hospital community. As necessary, transports mail, packages, and passengers in University Hospital vehicles. Ensures accountability is maintained throughout these activities. Responsibilities: What You’ll Do: - Receives, verifies, and signs for all incoming supplies ordered by the University Hospital. - Delivers all supplies received in an expeditious manner and maintains accountability and proof of said deliveries. - Assists in the preparation and delivery of storeroom orders and prepares packages for outgoing shipments and returns to vendors. - Picks up and delivers interoffice, incoming and outgoing mail. - Picks up mail from the Post Office and delivers mail to the Post Office. - Signs for insured and registered letters and packages. - Maintains a log of hand deliveries, certified, registered and special delivery correspondence to appropriate perso...
