About the role This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned turf maintenance technician to join our team based on site at Government House in the heart the Royal Botanic Gardens in Sydney, The role is hands on and oversees the care of several large lawn spaces and the magnificent surrounding gardens - the site must present pristine year round. Responsibilities: - Perform regular maintenance tasks such as mowing, aerating, and topdressing to uphold the quality and useability of lawn, turf and open space surfaces. - Monitor lawn and turf health and proactively address issues such as pests, diseases, and compaction through appropriate cultural and chemical practices. - Execution and implementation of seasonal turf renovation and recovery program’ - Implement sustainable management practices, including water conservation strategies, and pest management techniques. - Operate and maintain specialised equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety. - Collaborate with other teams to coordinate maintenance schedules, prioritise tasks, and deliver exceptional results. - Communicate effectively with the client to understand their expectations, address concerns, and provide ca...
