Description: The W.R. Crigler Student Success Program supports first-year students in building academic skills, leadership, and a strong sense of community at Ursinus College. The program begins with a three-week summer experience (July 22nd –August 15), where students take a course and participate in workshops to help with their transition to college. During the academic year, students attend weekly study halls, monthly seminars, and receive ongoing mentorship from peers and staff. Crigler aims to help students build confidence, connection, and the tools needed to succeed both academically and socially throughout their college journey. The Summer Peer Mentor role is an integral part of the Crigler Program summer experience, providing guidance and support to incoming scholars. Peer Mentors serve as knowledgeable guides, thoughtful facilitators, and role models, helping new students navigate both academic and social aspects of college life. Through one-on-one and group meetings, mentors will foster a welcoming and supportive environment, connect scholars to essential resources, and advocate for their success.
