Job Overview: This position reports to the Program Manager in support of the Decontamination and Decommissioning (D&D) of facilities primarily located at the Kesselring Site and potentially the Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory, both located in upstate New York. The Technical Manager will be responsible for the preparation of policies and procedures for radiological and RCRA D&D activities under DD&R Task Order 4 at the Naval Reactors sites under the cognizance of the Department of Energy. Key Responsbilities/Accountabilities: - The Technical Manager will contribute to establishing the requisite administrative requirements to enable mobilization to the site(s) and the planning of subsequent D&D activities. - The Technical Manager will interface with other Program staff to develop D&D strategies, coordinating and reporting to DOE and site stakeholders as appropriate. - This position requires the ability to write reports and procedures, participate in project meetings, present and speak in front of a group, and work in a team environment.
