Job DetailsJob Location: Camp Shawnee - Paintsville, KY 41240PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A SEASONAL POSITION Location: CAMP SHAWNEE - Prestonsburg, Kentucky Job Summary: The Assistant Camp Cook supports the Camp Cook in preparing and serving nutritious, child-friendly meals to youth campers and staff. This role helps maintain a clean and organized kitchen, meets food safety standards, and contributes to a positive dining experience in a fun, active camp setting. The assistant Cook will also clean and sanitize the kitchen multiple times throughout the day, ensuring it is clean every evening and prepared/prepped for the next day. Essential Job Functions: Meal Preparation Support: Assist with preparing ingredients, cooking meals, and setting up serving stations. Help ensure meals are timely, balanced, and suitable for children, including those with dietary restrictions. Sanitation & Clean-Up: Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen, food prep areas, and dining facilities. Wash dishes, sanitize equipment, and follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a hygienic environment.
