Job description

Job Duties: Associate, Financial Accounting with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, New York. Collaborate with senior members of the Accounting Policy team to support business units and corporate functions in interpreting and applying existing accounting standards and the firm’s accounting policies to transactions and corporate-level activities. Utilize U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (U.S. GAAP) literature, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and regulatory capital standards to support accounting policy analysis and application. Assist in monitoring and interpreting emerging technical accounting issues under U.S. GAAP and support the implementation of new and existing disclosure requirements in U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filings. Contribute to the development and periodic updates of the firm’s accounting policies. Partner with SEC Reporting and Legal Entity Controller teams to ensure accuracy, consistency and investor relevancy of financial statement disclosures.
