Job description

GFL Environmental is looking for AZ/DZ licensed drivers for our location based out of Ottawa. We are an integrated environmental services company providing industrial, commercial, utilities, institutional, residential, and municipal customers with leading-edge solutions to a variety of environmental and waste-handling problems. Successful candidates will drive & operate a variety of our industrial trucks/units, such as: - Combination units. - Power vacuum units, - Hydro excavation units. - Box trucks - Roll-off bin units - High-pressure water blasters. - Tractor trailers (AZ/DZ drivers) Key Responsibilities: - Oversee cargo handling and secure loads, including equipment preparation, application of safe practices, compliance with applicable Acts and regulations. - Perform trip inspections on equipment operated and load, ensuring safety and roadworthiness. - Comply with applicable legislation including safe operation, carriage of goods, driver's hours of service, occupational health and safety, transportation of dangerous goods, customs and immigration and weights and dimensions. - Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew as needed; che...
