Production Supervisor

Job description

Overview The Production Supervisor is responsible for fostering a performance-driven and continuous-improvement environment for production operations and has accountability for the safety, quality, delivery, and productivity performance of the manufacturing team in the shift. Responsibilities: - Supervises manufacturing activities in a high-Speed automated assembly environment. Manages all productivity and quality-related issues within the manufacturing team - Hires, develops, trains, and monitors production, technical, and support personnel - Builds a team focused culture that integrates core employees, temps, inventory, and equipment to achieve production, quality and safety goals - Ensures that the manufacturing equipment and work cells are staffed with people who are properly trained and supported - Ensures that preventative maintenance and proper machine operation procedures are followed - Ensures safety regulations, regulatory controls, policies, and procedures are followed - Assists in the management of the Corrective Action System - Initiates and oversees 5S, quality and process improvements - Promotes and uses techniques for continuous improvement such as Six-Sigma and Pok...
