Sr Cost Accountant

Job description

Looking for a Senior Cost Accountant who will be managing the organization’s standard costing framework and driving accurate financial reporting for manufacturing operations. This role partners closely with finance, operations, and supply chain teams to provide insights into cost structures, inventory performance, and profitability, while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. Requirements: 1. Cost Accounting & Financial Reporting Review and maintain standard costs (material, labor, overhead) Prepare journal entries and reconcile inventory to the balance sheet Analyze gross margin, cost of sales, and inventory trends Support audits, financial disclosures, and SOX compliance Partner with manufacturing and business teams on cost analysis 2. Inventory Management Support physical inventory counts and reconciliations (SAP) Monitor inventory movements and P&L impact Validate vendor and logistics reconciliations: 3.
