Job Title Labourer, Trails and Cemetery Operations Wage $22.64 (2026): Reports To Supervisor, Trails and Cemetery Operations Department Community Services: Location Parks and Recreation – Cemeteries and Trails Hours Seasonal, Up to 9 months, Normal working hours are 40 hours per week. Must be willing to work varied hours: day, afternoon, evening, and weekend hours. Other Travel throughout the City of Kawartha Lakes in accordance with job requirements and work locations may vary Job Description: Specific to this role: General duties: - Assist with regular inspections of properties; patrol and monitor for vandalism; perform garbage collection, litter picking and maintenance of amenities - Operate various equipment and machinery related to maintenance functions in accordance with applicable legislation, policies and procedures - Perform winter snow and ice control functions, as requested Duties specific to Cemeteries: - Responsible for grass cutting and grounds maintenance of cemetery properties, including planting and maintenance of trees, shrubs, and flowerbeds - Prepare burial sites in accordance with applicable legislation; tailor grounds for individual and decoration day services...
