Welcome U of A College of Pharmacy students that will be entering their 2nd year in the Fall!! Job Summary: The Pharmacy Intern will assist licensed pharmacists in various aspects of pharmacy operations, including medication dispensing, patient care, and inventory management. This role is designed to provide a comprehensive learning experience, enhancing the intern's understanding of hospital pharmacy practice and contributing to improved patient outcomes. Essential Functions: - Assists pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications according to prescriptions and established protocols. - Participates in medication reconciliation and assist in managing medication therapy for patients as required. - Supports the maintenance of accurate inventory levels and assist with ordering and restocking medications. - Collaborates with healthcare teams to gather medication histories and provide patient education under the supervision of a pharmacist. - Performs routine checks on medication storage areas to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. - Participates in pharmacy rounds and assist with clinical activities as assigned. - Maintains accurate documentation of all pharma...
