Who is a Manufacturing Technician at SMT? As a Manufacturing Technician, you will assist in the manufacturing of tracking technology and hardware from our Durham, NC manufacturing facility. This opportunity requires an exceptional attention to detail, comfortability operating specialized machinery, tools and equipment as well as working the production line. Your responsibilities will include: What Do You Bring to SMT? - Executing assembly-type functions using hand and/or power tools and perform related duties - Performing simple machine maintenance and repairs - Maintaining the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition - Strictly adhering to prescribed safety regulations and wear proper safety attire to maintain a safe and accident-free workspace - Reading and understanding instruction manuals for operating equipment and machinery - Operating various pieces of equipment and machinery - Packaging completed items for shipping - Keeping records of materials and equipment - 1-2 years’ experience in a manufacturing preferred but not required - Strong communication and problem-solving skills - Ability to read, understand, and follow docume...
