POSITION OVERVIEW: Velo’s 3D printers can build parts that are impossible for every other metalworking machine or technique in the world. As part of this cutting-edge technology, the components that form part of these machines must deliver high performance while maintaining reliability. As a manufacturing technician, you will work under the direction of process and manufacturing engineers to build and test one-of-a-kind system components for R&D and manufacturing teams. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: - Assemble critical system components, maintaining precision and high standards every time. - Test system components for performance using advanced metrology equipment. - Monitor material and parts with a keen eye for defects and non-conformance. - Maintain organized and detailed testing records. - Ensure adequate quantities of all necessary subcomponents and materials are available in inventory. - Reliably escalate problems and communicate suggestions for improvement. - Work with manufacturing and shipping departments to send system components where they are needed.
