Pay Grade/Pay Range: Minimum: $44,200 - Midpoint: $55,300 (Salaried E6) Department/Organization: 214131 - Eng Student Services - Stud Support Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm Job Summary: The Academic Advisor I provides guidance to University students on academic progress, courses, University resources, etc. Identifies courses to be completed in upcoming semesters. Explains University and College policies. May teach compass course as needed. Additional Department Summary: Works with a team of academic advisors to guide students through the educational process here at the Capstone. Uses appropriate advising practices/theories while working with students to foster academic success Advises students in course and major selection by communicating general education, College of Engineering, and major requirements. Communicates accurate and timely information and clarify University policies and procedures. Presents and assists with new student and transfer orientation sessions.
