Job Description The Siciliano lab from the Department of Pharmacology at Vanderbilt University is seeking a self-motivated Research Assistant II. Our lab research focuses on addiction and sensory neuroscience using cutting-edge technology to trace neural sensory tracts in combination with immunohistochemistry, optogenetics, in vivo fiber photometry, and behavioral pharmacology in rodents. The individual hired for this position will be expected to assist with experiments and commit to a minimum of 2 years. Duties and Responsibilities Manage mouse colonies (experience with rodent colony management preferred) Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education in chemistry, biochemistry or similar field is necessary Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community is necessary . Vanderbilt experience is preferred .
