Office/Field Engineer Department: Operations: Employment Type: Full Time: Location: Seattle: Reporting To: Octavio Bailon-Schubert: Compensation: $88,000 - $92,000 / year Description: The Office/Field Engineer serves as a link between field operations and project management. In the preconstruction phase, they support planning and estimating efforts, then transition into field management as construction begins. Throughout the project, engineers assist superintendents by interpreting plans and specifications, coordinating and managing subcontractors, tracking quantities, and maintaining as-build documentation, while helping ensure safety and quality standards are consistently met. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: PRECONSTRUCTION - Evaluate design documents to ensure the project can be built as designed and identify potential issues, particularly regarding soil conditions, underground utilities, and structural integrity. - Develop detailed, accurate cost models that encompass materials, specialized labor, equipment rentals, and contingency funds. - Identify cost-saving alternatives that maintain quality, such...
