Job Summary Details: Under the Laboratory Operations Manager, the Pathology Supervisor oversees daily operations including team members of the Pathology Department ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Education: - Section Administration: Responsible for laboratory operations for the appropriate section(s). Establishes and implements policies and procedures in collaboration with associated departments throughout the organization. Oversees and ensures appropriate coverage for all shifts, including actively participating in bench-level tasks when operational needs arise. - Technical Operations: Acts a technical resource for section, evaluates and implements new procedures and instrumentation. Oversees technical performance of the section assuring that results are accurate, and turnaround time is optimal. - Quality Control: Follows quality control policies, documents all related activities, and maintains records of instrument and procedural calibrations and maintenance.
