Copper River Enterprise Services is seeking a skilled Network Security Engineer to support network infrastructure operations in Newport, Rhode Island. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and maintaining network systems across classified and unclassified environments. The Network Security Engineer will ensure network performance, security compliance, and operational continuity through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and system optimization. Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): - Provide network engineering support including requirements analysis, system design, integration, testing, and certification - Install, terminate, repair, test, and maintain network cabling infrastructure, including: - Ethernet, copper, coaxial, and fiber optic cabling (including inter-building fiber plant) - Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain network devices, including: - Routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless systems - Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Wireless IDS (WIDS), and fiber optic intrusion detection systems - Cryptographic equipment and keying material - Network security systems and appliances - Perform system administration fo...
