Job description

The Dietary Aide performs a variety of food service functions including but not limited to preparing and assembling food items, setting up stations, serving and replenishing food. The Dietary Aide cleans and sanitizes workstations, counters, steam tables and other equipment. Relies on established guidelines to accomplish tasks. Works under close supervision. Education - High school or equivalent Special Skills - Knowledge of Basic Customer Service Skills, Good Verbal Communication, Reading and Writing - Food Handling Including Preparation and/or Delivery - Serve meals that are appetizing in appearance. - Assist in serving meals as necessary and on a timely basis. - Prepares fruits, cold foods and beverages for breakfast meal (ex. juices, fruits, dry cereal) - Serve food in dining room as instructed. Serve food in accordance with established portion control procedures. - Clean worktables, refrigerators/freezers, etc. - Fill condiments as needed. - Set up meal trays, food carts, dining room, etc., as instructed.
