Job description

Scope of Position: Responsible for the timely placement of purchase orders and delivery of materials to meet customer order requirements and maintain stock inventory levels within approved guidelines. Ensuring open communication with Branches. Key Responsibilities: - Purchasing material for inventory and non-stock items for all branches and customer orders at appropriate buy levels. Includes special buys - Reviewing reports on high ranking/high importance for stock outs & expediting - Manage inventory levels at all branch locations; maximize inventory turns, while maintaining stock levels required to service customer demand - Promo buys, maintaining adequate inventory and parameter updates to support monthly/seasonal promos - Reviewing line points /order points, EOQ for buy quantities, parameter maintenance - Issuing Purchase orders and email and/or EDI over to vendors, resolving errors and review vendor order confirmations - Investigating and determining what/how/ why material came in incorrectly or damaged (for non-conformances) - Expediting all orders, resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries and other problems.
