JOB SUMMARY: Assists surgeon during operative and invasive procedures. Ensures operating suite is adequately prepared for procedure. Monitor PAR level of all surgical instruments an supplies. Cleans and sterilizes all surgical instruments. Participates in department staff meetings and performance improvement activities. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Minimum Education: - Graduate of an accredited surgical tech program (Preferred) - Current BLS certification. Minimum Work Experience: - At least two years of experience in a hospital or medically related environment desired. Required Licenses: - None Required Skills: - Must be able to follow directions and to perform work according to department standards when no directions are given. - Must be emotionally mature and able to function effectively under stress.
