Material Handler Department: Distribution Center Operations: Employment Type: Full Time: Location: Atlanta, GA: Description: The Material Handler stores, ships, receives, and replenishes finished goods to fire sprinkler contractors by parcel, LTL, truckload, and/or private carrier Key Responsibilities: - Responsible for processing customer orders and filling distribution centers - Compiles, organizes, and prepares all orders as directed from the Shipping Supervisor - Operates a handheld scanner to scan barcodes and delivers materials to their target location - Operates forklift, lift truck, side loaders, pallet trucks, picker and other loading/stacking equipment - Responsible daily inspection of forklifts - Performs on-spot checking - Maintains and organizes warehouse storage including pallet consolidation and cleanliness of aisles - Promote a safe workplace by performing all tasks in a safe and thoughtful manner in compliance with all rules, procedures, instructions, devices, equipment and use of appropriate personal protective equipment.
