Department: 38513 Carolinas Medical Center - LCH: Pharmacy Status: Full time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hou rs Per Week: 40 Schedule Details/Additional Information: The Pediatrics Pharmacist provides patient-centered care to patients for the pediatrics patient population. This position must: provide pharmaceutical care to patients to achieve optimal therapeutic outcomes; promote cost-effective drug therapy; provide assistance in educating pharmacy students, PGY1 and PGY2 residents; adhere to the general hospital standards to promote cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships and team building; assist with verification of medication orders and distribution of pharmaceutical products; coordinate and participate in the education of pharmacists and other health care professionals; participate in the drug therapy management in emergency situations; assist in developing and implementing treatment protocols in order to improve patient care. This position will spend approximately 50% of shifts in Emergency Department with the remaining 50% split covering evening satellite pharmacy and evening inpatient clinical services.
