Teaching Associate Employment Opportunity JOB DESCRIPTION: ***OPEN TO CURRENT STANISLAUS STATE STUDENTS, CURRENTLY ENROLLED OR ELIGIBILE TO ENROLL ONLY*** Job title and description: Writing Center Teaching Associate: WP Support The Writing Center invites students to apply to Teaching Associate position to collaborate with Writing Center leadership including the WAC coordinator to: understand writing pedagogy, develop and deliver workshops and presentations for writing tutors and students, coordinate schedules, support promotional efforts including social media and website content, assist in planning and facilitating WP faculty development workshops. Collaborate with professor(s) on: course expectations, materials, assignments, and coordination and facilitation of in-class workshops and/or peer review sessions. Tutor writing. Develop resources for and provide discipline-specific information to writing tutors, including typical expectations in the field. Attend pre-semester Writing Center orientation week and participate in ongoing tutor professional development groups. Hold weekly office hours in the Writing Center.
