The Vice President, Tax reports to the Chief Financial Officer and serves as the senior tax executive for the Company. This role is responsible for leading global tax strategy, structuring, compliance, and risk management across a private equity-backed real estate investment platform. The VP of Tax acts as a strategic advisor to executive leadership and sponsor stakeholders, supporting acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, capital markets transactions, and enterprise structuring. This role combines technical depth, transaction leadership, and organizational design to build a scalable, disciplined tax function aligned with a dynamic, transaction-driven REIT platform. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership & Transaction Structuring · Serve as a strategic advisor to the CFO and executive leadership on tax-efficient capital allocation, legal entity structuring, and long-term REIT optimization. · Lead tax structuring for acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, financings, recapitalizations, and capital markets transactions, including development of transaction step plans and coordination with outside counsel. · Ensure tax considerations are embedded early in transaction pl...
