Job description

Work Shift: 1. Patrols facilities and property make observations to detect unauthorized persons, activities, unsafe conditions, and ensure life safety standards are maintained. 2. Maintains appropriate communication with Supervisors, fellow Officers, Security Operations Center and Law Enforcement to report crimes, incidents, and safety related irregularities. 3. Intervene in disputes between individuals by using verbal de-escalation techniques and skills to diffuse potentially violent patient, employee, or visitor situations. 4. Investigates and document incidents through both written and electronic format as required: Safety hazards, incidents and criminal activities to Public Safety Leadership 5. Controls access to restricted organizational properties and verifies the admittance of authorized individuals. Escorts people/property to desired destination when safety of property or individuals is a concern. Assists with parking and security during special events and provides visitors with directions and security information. 6. Performs security services and dispatcher duties when assigned. 7.
