Licensed Practical Nurse: Long Term Care

Reports To: Long Term Care Director FLSA Classification: Full-Time, Non-exempt, Hourly $25.00-$38.00 Essential Functions: - Assist in the delivery of patient care under the supervision of an RN. - Provide age-specific nursing care under the supervision of an RN. - Guide resident care activities while maintaining standards of nursing practice. - Monitor patient conditions during treatments, procedures, and activities. - Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, medical histories, and treatment plans. - Read and interpret patient information, making treatment decisions when appropriate. - Contact Physician and resident's families when appropriate and necessary. - Direct and supervise nurse assistants and nurse aides. - Other duties as assigned. Education and Experience: - Diploma from an accredited School of Nursing. - Certification by the state as a Licensed Practical Nurse Required. - At least six (6) months experience working as a CNA preferred. - Current BLS required within four (4) months of hire or transfer.
