Department: 36324 Advocate South Suburban Hospital - Mammography Status: Part time Benefits Eligible: No Hou rs Per Week: 0 Schedule Details/Additional Information: This is a registry position. Flexibility with schedule Pay Range: $35.50 - $53.25 Major Responsibilities: - Patient/Customer contact - 1)Introduce yourself to patient and explain the procedure to each patient - 2)Reassure the patient, consistently attempt to reduce anxiety, and obtain the cooperation of the patient. - 3)Attempt to understand the patients needs and anxieties and respond accordingly. - 4) Attempt to relate to each patients own individual physical condition and emotional needs and position accordingly. - The performance of mammography services/exams at South Suburban Hospital. - 1)Perform all mammographic procedures/examinations using the appropriate radiographic techniques - 2)Position patients for routine and additional mammographic views, as requested by the reading radiologist - 3)Perform and document daily QC tests prior to performing exams on patients - 4)Examine requisition of each patient prior to beginning procedure for the purpose of verifying physician order; and screening vs. diagnostic exams -...
