Engineering Lead Bus Specialist

Job description

The Engineering Lead Bus Specialist will provide direct support on the production line to resolve electrical and programming issues discovered during electrical checkout of online buses, especially lead buses. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Investigate and resolve electrical and programming issues encountered on the production line during electrical checkouts of the first-built bus of each order. - Participate in electrical checkouts of the first bus built on each customer order (a.k.a. Lead Buses). - Create and release programming updates and other engineering solutions as needed. - Support issue resolution using J1939 network traffic analysis as needed. - Execute in-plant testing of electrical and programming solutions as required by colleagues. - Support supplier application approvals, vendor tests, config audits, and other online activities as needed. - Provide general status of lead buses that are online, identify and address potential roadblocks preventing deliveries. - Support ongoing process improvement initiatives Requirements: - Minimum of 2 years of equivalent related industry/technology experience is preferred - Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems - Knowledge of high-voltag...
