Description The Butler School of Music seeks to hire for a tenured position in piano at the Full or Associate Professor level. The successful candidate will have a national and international reputation in piano performance as well as a proven track record as an artist-teacher in higher education. This is a tenured position in a research-intensive national university and thus expectations of research and creative activity output and impact are key to a productive candidacy. If the successful candidate is sufficiently distinguished, an additional appointment as Fellow to or Holder of the Priscilla Pond Flawn Regents Professorship in Organ or Piano Performance is also possible. Position begins August 2026. Salary, rank, and tenure status commensurate with qualifications and experience. This position requires relocation to Austin, TX. Duties: Maintain a national/international prominent research/creative activity profile in the field. Engage in leadership and service activities within the keyboard divison, the Butler School, the College of Fine Arts, and the University.
