Stikeman Elliott LLP is seeking a business-savvy lawyer with an analytical and strategic mindset to join our General Counsel Office as Corporate Counsel . The Corporate Counsel supports the General Counsel Office by drafting, negotiating and managing the Firm’s contractual arrangements including client engagement letters, Outside Counsel Guidelines and other service arrangements, and providing day-to-day advisory and compliance support to internal stakeholders. This role offers exposure to a broad range of legal, compliance, and operational matters and is ideal for a lawyer looking to develop experience in overseeing national firm legal affairs. Key Responsibilities: - Draft, review, negotiate, manage and interpret a wide range of contractual arrangements including: - Client engagement letters and Outside Counsel Guidelines - Software and other IT Service Agreements - Confidentiality / Non-Disclosure Agreements - Event contracts - Publication contracts - Assist in drafting and updating internal policies and procedures - Assist with regulatory filings and reporting requirements - Advise on professional responsibility and other compliance matters - Assist in responding to client risk...
