Overview The Ray Lab at the Benaroya Research Institute is seeking a part-time Research Technician to provide essential laboratory support for biomedical research projects. This role supports both routine and specialized experimental work in a collaborative research environment focused on understanding immune function and disease mechanisms. Hours: 20 to 25 per week. Responsibilities: - Prepare laboratory reagents, chemical stocks, culture media, and cell lines following established protocols - Operate and maintain laboratory equipment including spectrometers, electrophoresis systems, radiation counters, PCR machines, and other analytical instruments - Perform chemical, physical, and biological assays in accordance with written experimental procedures - Work with mouse models as needed, including immunizations and surgical procedures when applicable - Process and fractionate blood samples using sterile technique - Prepare tissue and cell samples for light and fluorescent microscopy - Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records, including data entry, photography, and documentation in laboratory databases and notebooks - Conduct literature searches and review scientific publica...
