BASIS DC is seeking qualified candidates for a Special Education Long-Term Substitute Teacher to join our team for the 2026/27 school year! Start Date: August 3rd: The role of the Special Education Teacher is to work directly with students to identify and fulfill needed educational services and supports as part of a student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP). Special Education Teacher participates in IEP meetings and provides support to the general education teachers regarding classroom interventions, student accommodations, modifications, and special education requirements. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. - Valid Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card and/or satisfactory applicable state background check, current special education certificate valid in relevant jurisdiction, CPR and First Aid. - Holds a current Special Education teaching certification in the District of Columbia or possesses a Special Education endorsement on a valid teaching license Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in special education; Master’s degree in special education or relate...
