Department: 37397 Advocate Lutheran General Hospital - Infusion: Crystal Lake Status: Part time Benefits Eligible: No Hou rs Per Week: 0 Schedule Details/Additional Information: Monday-Friday 8:30-5:00 as needed No weekends, no holidays: Pay Range: $38.20 - $57.30 Major Responsibilities: Participates in the direct care of patients to promote positive clinical outcomes and documents in the electronic medical record per department standards. 1)Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care of women and men with cancer related health concerns. 2)Interview and assess new patients for physicians. 3)Assists physicians per department standards with clinic visits and procedures if needed. 4)Assists patients and staff in the appointment process to expedite timely appointments. 5)Provides patients with appropriate education related to prevention, diagnosis, tests, surgery, chemotherapy and radiation therapy, etc. 6)Teaches patients about the importance of screenings such as mammograms, colonoscopy, etc. 7)Coordinates testing and expedites results reporting.
