Collects pertinent medical information and reviews physician’s order to identifyreason for examination and potential contraindications.2. Explains procedure to patient and ensures consent form is signed if required forexamination.3. Positions patient and administers oral, rectal or intravenous contrast asrequired. Monitors patient reaction and responds to adverse reactions withemergency procedures as necessary.4. Selects equipment parameters and logs pertinent information.5. Performs scanning procedure. Modifies parameters as required to improvevisualization of desired anatomy. 6. Organizes images, performs the scan and transfers exam to PACS system.7.
