Transfer Station Driver

Job description

Operates Tractor hauling with the following types of Trailers. Walking Floors, End Dump, Flatbed, and Lowboys. This will entail special routes of transport hauling of Solid Waste or Recycling materials. Transportation of materials from the Transfer Station will be made to and from several types of facilities such as Landfills, Material Recovery Facilities (MRF), Mills, or Special handling Facilities. QUALIFICATIONS: - Safely drives truck on route in accordance with Smith System Driving principles. - Secure containers by attaching hook to container; uses control levers to pull container up on the bed of the truck, secures straps and hand tarp individual containers as necessary. - Provides Distinguishably Different level of service through courteous and expeditious customer service in all aspects of refuse operation to the public and customers. - Exhibits a positive attitude towards company, customer and municipal goals. - Operates hydraulic and lift equipment on vehicle. - Performs Daily Pre and Post Trip inspections as set forth by Waste Pro procedures and D.O.T. guidelines.
