A Moving Experience. Cerence AI is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Accountant to support our global finance organization. This role is critical in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, with a strong focus on month-end and quarter-end close processes, accruals, payroll accounting, and cross-functional collaboration. What You’ll Do: - Lead key components of the month-end and quarter-end close, including preparation and review of journal entries (commissions, payroll, fringe benefits, accruals) - Manage Open PO accrual process, including reporting, stakeholder coordination, and variance analysis - Prepare and analyze payroll-related entries across U.S. and Canada entities, including bi-weekly processing support - Perform account reconciliations and true-ups (vacation liabilities, commissions, Azure/vendor accruals) - Partner with Procurement, Payroll, and SEC Reporting teams to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial data - Review commissions and billing data to ensure proper accounting treatment - Support audit requests and contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives What We’re Looking For: Cerence Inc.
