Description JOB TITLE: LVN CHARGE NURSE: JOB CODE: 22: DEPARTMENT: NURSING: FLSA STATUS: NON-EXEMPT: REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF NURSING: JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for providing nursing care to residents as prescribed by the physician and in accordance with standards of nursing practices, regulations, and directed by the Director of Nursing. The Charge Nurse will lead or direct licensed and non-professional staff in the delivery of direct Resident care and support functions. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Provide the best possible nursing care by planning, organizing, and directing the nursing functions of patients in the unit - Make nursing assignments appropriate to the skill level of employees - Maintain acceptable standards of patient care - Identify problems and guides personnel to their solution - Create a working climate that provides growth and job satisfaction of personnel - Accurately and promptly implement physicians’ orders - Support and enforce infection-control policies and procedures - Use system to convey/receive resident information - Maintain a professional approach with confidentiality - Cooperate and maintain good rapport with nursing staff, medical staff, other departments,...
