Nursing Assistant - PACU, 80% FTE Day/Evening

Work Schedule: .80 FTE, 32 hours/week. Monday through Friday, with most shifts of 11am-5:30pm but the PACU is open from 7a-8pm . Hours may vary based on operational needs of department. Pay : UW Health offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. Work experience that is relevant to the position will be taken into consideration when determining the starting base pay. External hires may be eligible for a $2,400 sign on bonus (pro-rated on FTE). We are seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA, NA) to: Cross train as a Health Unit Coordinator (HUC). Coordinate with Nursing Supervisors, assist with patient placement needs of ICU, IMC, general care, or outpatient placement. Communicate with units and ancillary staff. Settle surgical/post-anesthesia patients, obtain vitals, reposition patients, set up suction, assist with airway, empty drains, empty foleys - per RN request, assist with normoglycemia protocol.
