Initial Posting Date: 05/04/2026 Application Deadline: 05/18/2026 Agency: Department of Justice Salary Range: $5,458 - $8,352 Position Type: Employee Position Title: Bias Response and Sanctuary Promise Hotline Advocate (Program Analyst 2) Job Description: Everyone is affected by bias crime, non-criminal bias incidents, and violations of our sanctuary laws. Although these incidents often target specific individuals, the harm creates ripples throughout communities, lowers our civility standards, threatens our safety, and erodes public trust in the equitable application of our laws. It is the responsibility of every Oregonian to ensure every person is safe in their community. For those reasons, the Office of the Attorney General, through its Civil Rights Unit (CRU) , operates both a Sanctuary Promise Hotline pursuant to 2021’s HB 3265 , as well as a Bias Response Hotline (operates under 2019’s SB 577 ).
