PAY RATE: $14.45 per hour – College Freshman or Sophomore / $16.17 per hour – College Junior or Senior / $18.80 per hour – College Graduate Studies Eligible part-time employees will receive up to a $5.75 per hour retention bonus for all hours worked from Memorial Day through Labor Day. GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Under the direction of Environmental Health and Safety Compliance Specialist this position will support environmental compliance and stormwater management initiatives across all Metroparks by conducting field inspections of stormwater infrastructure, collecting environmental samples, and assisting with chemical inventories at park facilities. The intern will utilize GIS applications, handheld GPS units, and ArcGIS to collect and manage spatial data, and update stormwater system maps. This internship provides an opportunity to analyze and summarize collected data in a comprehensive report that includes maps, tables, and a qualitative summary of findings and recommendations.
