Job description

General: Site security is responsible for securing the premises and safety of site personnel by patrolling premises, monitoring surveillance equipment, performing building inspections, and controlling entry points. Security personnel are visible and observant at all times and are courteous and attentive in greeting employees, guests, and vendors. The position reports to the Safety & Health Manager with the primary work schedule 12-hr, 2- 2 -3- 2 -2- 3 on straight nights with flexibility to work early/ late shift, overtime, weekends, and holidays, as needed. Specific Duties / Responsibilities: - Patrol site premises; monitor surveillance equipment; perform building/equipment inspections - Ensure site entrances are at proper access status and control access points - Direct heavy traffic during start/end of operating hours - Execute appropriate actions to deescalate all volatile situations / events - Investigate and make contact with internal leadership / external security resources when incidents, suspicious activities, or emergencies require - Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness standards at work station, entrances & building exterior - Complete required security, safety, and comp...
