Department: 38244 Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital - Medical Education: Residents & Fellows Status: Full time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hou rs Per Week: 40 Schedule Details/Additional Information: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm Pay Range: $16.55 - $24.85 EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE : High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Experience in a healthcare setting or as a Unit Secretary preferred. LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION: N/A ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Reviews and documents patient identification, and places armbands on patients arriving for care. 2. Uses effective communication skills when interacting with patients, visitors, co-workers, management and physicians. Uses effective communication skills and strict patient identifiers when directing information and communications. 3. Maintains compliance with HIPPA regulations, CMS regulation and Medicare/Medicaid regulations as the regulations pertain to the registration process and information flow to the multi-disciplinary team and to the public. 4.
