Highlights of the department: -You would be joining a 6-person perfusion team. -We have a modern Perfusion department that supports a wide variety of complex cardiac surgery cases, including Adult Congenital and Aortic Surgery. -Our Perfusionists are involved with implementing ECMO, but do not sit bed side and monitor. Job Description: Staff Perfusionist is responsible for the safety and treatment of patients needing extracorporeal circulation. Duties include but are not limited to: Working as clinical perfusionist, Intraoperative Blood Salvage, Implementing ECMO, and completing satisfactory performance appraisals and competency assessments, clinical education and completing departmental projects in a timely manner.
